The Finds - The
numbers refer to finds shown in the loaded images. Above
the AWA pipe - south of test pit. (1) An almost complete
Oyster shell. (5) Thought to be a piece of pipe. Outer
aubergine glaze, probable concrete centre, brown glaze inner.
(10) Probable piece of pot, green glaze outer, dark centre,
bricklike inner. Internal horizontal maufacturing marks,
shallow radius. (11) Pot or mug. Grey clay, profiled outer
with blue glaze stripes, horizontal manufacturing marks. In
north half of test pit. (2) Thin pice of 1.5mm glass, lightish
green, shallow radius. (3) Piece of pot, sandy clay, whitish
glaze both sides. (4) Piece of pot, purple/brown clay, purple
black glaze. (6) Piece of pot, concrete like, possible signs
of burning on one side. (7) Piece of clay pipe. (8) Piece of
clay pipe. (9) Piece of pot, purple/brown clay, purple black
glaze. (12) Piece of porch tile with nail hole. Unknown
location. (13) Nail, age unknown. (14) Piece of porch tile
with nail hole. (15) Shell fossil. (16) Piece of red brick
(rest of pit marked by absence of brick). (17) Small piece of
oyster shell. (18) Small piece of coal. (19) Small piece of
coal. (20) Small piece of thin 1.5mm glass.
