Q: Why did you want to dig
this pit?
A: I have always been interested in local history
and would like to learn something about previous tenants of my
home. The Dig would make an interesting story for our village
website which I and two other residents have recently
launched.
Q: What do you know about the site?
A: The
cottage was built in 1719 and was previouly part of the local
Manor House estate.
